Writes with cramped didactic speed,
To fill four reams of paper
Balanced on his scrawny knee.
Madder and angrier Blackman
carrying an Academic frown
Pencil scratches at the bleached fibrous 20 lb mesh
The only white to fill his needs.
Madden Blackman,
Angered by other things,
Rides a non-symbolic, transportation only, L.A. bus line,
So slow, this bus only, he writes more and more furiously
As compensation along the way.
